Well, this is rather awesome
The A.V. Club really takes this movie to task and in the process pretty much reinforces my entire opinion of Seth MacFarlane’s “comedy”
Thanks to Carly for sharing this gem with me
One of the most heralded games of my childhood is coming back.
Without even needing to play the game, I can go ahead and give it a big two thumbs up. I am already salivating in anticipation of the fight with Magica.
Over the past couple weeks I’ve brought up the following a few times in conversation, and it makes me realize that at some point I stopped being youthful. High school chums, this hits you too.
In high school, I used to look at musicians like Iggy Pop, Joey Ramone, Ozzy, etc and think how crazy old they were to still be rocking like that. (They were in their late 40s and early 50s)
Flash forward to now. Flea, Anthony Kiedis, Mike Ness are 50. Tim Armstrong is 47. Billy Corgan is only 45. Kurt Cobain would be 46. Eddie Vedder is 48. At some point, the musicians of my youth became Iggy Pops (especially those shirtless RHCPs) – and even They Might Be Giants are 52+.
RunDMC and Aerosmith have nothing on Iron Maiden and Public Enemy. I think Bruce Dickinson and Flava Flav need to collaborate on a project or two.
